Getting older is a fact of life. Some people age better, while some are lucky enough to look younger.
At Smile Care Dental Centre we treat frown lines with Botox®.
Botox® is a purified protein which is injected in minute quantities into the muscles of the face in order to relax them or soften the appearance of glabellar lines.
Other preparations such as Juvederm® fillers are available. You can discuss these various treatments and their differences with Dr. Willem Kearney so that the effect you get is the one you want.
The Botox® Procedure
15 minutes
The procedure takes around 15 minutes, during which your practitioner will ask you to pull some facial muscles. Your practitioner will then use a very thin needle to inject the diluted product into the appropriate muscle.
5 Plus days
Over the course of 5-10 days you will begin to see the effect. If at any time you have any concerns about the treatment you have received, please contact your practitioner who will be able to advise you.
Lasts up to 4 months
The smoothing effect of the treatment lasts up to 4 months so repeat treatment will be necessary to maintain the effect. Botox® should only be injected by a practitioner who has been appropriately trained on the product.

The Juvederm® Procedure (15-20 minutes)
The injection process can take a mere 15-20 minutes. You’ll also need to allow time to consult with Dr. Kearney before treatment.
Juvederm® Ultra contains 0.3% lidocaine to reduce injection pain for a more comfortable experience. He aesthetic results are immediate. You’ll see the results as soon as your appointment is over and no-one else needs to know!
