


Dr William Kearney [Owner/Principal]
Dr William matriculated from Nylstroom Hoërskool in 1986 where he then went on to do his 2 years national service after which he went to study dentistry at the University of Pretoria. Dr William was a member of the Student Council and President of the Council for 2 years.
He is the President of the Pretoria branch of the South African Dental Association (SADA - Pretoria). Dr William also has advanced training and experience in dental implantology.

- Chairman of the Dental Student Council in 1992
Received the:
- Middleton-Shaw prize in 1993 for the best pre-graduate presentation at the South-African division of the IADR.
- Henry St. Johh Randell Medal for the final year student with excellent character, leadership, sportsmanship and
- satisfactory academic career.
- Dr Jan Stegmann prize for the best achievement in Clinical Basic Restorative Dentistry.
- Oral B prize for the best student in Dental Materials
- Prossa prize for the best student in Clinical Fixed Prosthetics
- A D Laboratories Dentsply prize for the student who has proved himself to be the best equipped to run a successful dental practice.
Awarded the BChD degree in Dentistry at the University of Pretoria in June 1994
After completion of his studies he went to Empangeni where he worked for Dr Opperman for 8 months to gain experience, after which he started his own practice in Groblersdal from 1994 - 2004. During this period he also studies further completing a 2-year diploma in orthodontics and completing it in 2003, cum laude.
He is also currently a part time lecturer at the University of Pretoria in the orthodontic department.
Dr William then started Smile Care Dental Centre in the Centurion Mall in September 2004 and with his fantastic team has never looked back.
Shirley Stipp [Receptionist]
Shirley matriculated from Zeerust High School and started a career in banking, which she did for twelve years, but then decided on a career change.
She then joined a medical practice and worked as a medical receptionist for four years and then decided to take a break and become a housewife.
She missed being among people and was fortunate to find a position as receptionist with this great company. She enjoys her work as we have great patients and is learning more about dentistry everyday.
Angelique Kearney [Oral Hygienist]
Angelique completed her Oral Hygiene Diploma at the University of Pretoria in 1993. She and Dr Willem Kearney were married in October 1994. They opened a dental practice in Groblersdal and practiced for 11 years. While living in Groblersdal she studied further and qualified as a beauty therapist, personal trainer and aerobics instructor.
Angelique opened up her own beauty salon and clothing boutique while still managing the practice. After hours she did her personal training and aerobics. They have two children, Robyn [10] and Jason [8].
After 11 years they moved to Centurion to open a fantastic, extraordinary private practice.
Angelique studied image consulting and is now a lifestyle and image coach.
Angelique takes care of the oral hygiene, marketing in the practice and Image training for businesses. At the moment she is very involved with the Southern Sun group, training their staff how not only to look beautiful on the outside, but successful in life.

I am a qualified Dental Assistant with 18 years of experience. I have a positive attitude and a passion for people and my work.
I enjoy helping Dr. Kearney creating beautiful smiles and changing lives every day.
Rachel Magakwe [Janitor]
I am Rachel Magakwe.I am from Groblersdal and I have three children.I first worked at Angelique’s Boutique in Groblersdal from 1991 to 2003.
I then worked for Dr. Kearney as his practice janitor at Groblersdal and then moved with him to Centurion when he started Smile Care.
I have since been the person responsible for the wellness and hygiene of thisgreat practice and I see to that everything stays clean and tidy.
I am very happy here because at Smile Care we are not just seen as staff, but as family.
